Privacy
This page explains what the DuckStreak waitlist stores about you. Last updated: 2026-10-10.
Who is responsible
The DuckStreak project decides why and how your data is used. Contact: privacy@duckstreak.com.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address.
- Your level (student, junior, mid, senior, other), only if you choose one.
- The topics you want to get better at (such as databases, system design or interview prep), only if you pick any.
- Where you came from, such as "tiktok", taken from the link you used.
- The time you gave your consent, and the time you joined.
We use it to email you about the DuckStreak launch, to learn which channels bring people in, and to decide which lessons to write first.
Legal basis
Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing privacy@duckstreak.com.
Where it is stored, and who processes it
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Neon stores the list in a database in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Cloudflare provides spam protection (Turnstile) on the form and forwards the emails sent to our contact addresses.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until the launch plus a reasonable period, and never more than 12 months after the launch, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, or to withdraw your consent. Email privacy@duckstreak.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) at aepd.es.
Cookies
The site sets two cookies. Both are strictly necessary for what you asked for, so there is no consent banner.
ds_waitlist: a signed cookie that lets you add your level and interests right after joining. It lasts 1 hour and is httpOnly (scripts cannot read it).ds_joined: remembers that this browser has joined, so we show "You're on the list" instead of the form. It holds no email and no id, and lasts 1 year.
There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
